Computer USB port, USB cable and iPod USB port are working fine:-

Now we have done all software related troubleshooting but still iTunes does not recognize iPod. So now we are doing hardware related troubleshooting.

  •           First test that USB port is enable from bios. To check this when you start your computer, presses delete, F2 or F8 key. So that you can enter to BIOS. Then go to advance chipset setting and make sure the USB function /controller is enabled.
  •          To check USB port of computer in working condition.
Insert USB pen drive or any other USB device other than iPod at same USB port. If this new device is detected by computer. Then USB port is working fine.
  •             Check your USB cable and USB port of iPod working fine.

Use your friend’s computer, where your friend’s iPod is easily recognized by computer. Plug in your ipod with your USB cable. Still iTunes does not find iPod touch. Then use your friend’s USB cable with your iPod. And see the result. Even if your iPod touch does not detected by computer. Then visit authorized apple service center.
